Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to your access to and use of the Board Box Inc services (the "Service"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms at /terms. If you violate this AUP, we may suspend or terminate access.

1. Keep It Lawful and Fair

Do not use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights.
Do not use the Service in a way that is discriminatory or that would cause a Customer to violate fair-housing, consumer-protection, privacy, or anti-harassment laws.
You must ensure a human reviews AI-generated output before relying on it for HOA decisions (including approvals/denials, fines, notices, or enforcement actions).
Do not use the Service (including AI features) to infer, target, or profile individuals based on protected characteristics in a manner that violates applicable law.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

No discrimination, harassment, hate, or threats.
No illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activities.
No infringement of intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
No attempts to harm, disable, or overload the Service (including DDoS, scanning without consent, or spreading malware).
No reverse engineering, circumvention of technical controls, or attempts to extract source code except as permitted by law.
No creation of accounts by bots or scripts without our permission.
No scraping of content where prohibited by law or by a website's terms.

3. Sharing and Access (Including Share Links)

Only share content you have the right to share and only with intended recipients.
If the Service provides share links or similar sharing tools, treat share links as confidential and disable/revoke sharing promptly if you believe a link has been misdirected or compromised.
Do not use the Service to grant access to content in a way that violates the Terms or any applicable confidentiality obligations.

4. Email, Messaging, and Calls

Follow CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and similar laws. Obtain proper consent before sending messages.
Do not send spam, illegal marketing, or deceptive messages. Include valid identification and opt-out instructions when required.

5. Data and Privacy

Do not upload personal data you are not permitted to share with us or process through the Service.
Do not upload special categories of data or other Sensitive Data unless strictly necessary, permitted by law, and expressly authorized by the Terms or an applicable Order/written amendment.
Do not re-identify de-identified or anonymized data.

6. API Terms (If Applicable)

Respect rate limits and authentication. Do not share keys or tokens.
Do not perform automated probing, load testing, or benchmarking of the Service for competitive or reverse-engineering purposes without our written permission.
Use only documented endpoints and do not disable or bypass safety features.

7. High-Risk Uses

Do not use the Service for situations where errors could lead to death, personal injury, or critical infrastructure harm.

8. Security Responsibilities

Use strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where available.
Keep your systems and browsers up to date.
Report suspected security issues to security@boardbox.ai without undue delay.

9. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. We may remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts where we believe a violation occurred. Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent termination. We may report unlawful activity to authorities when appropriate.
